950 Apex Coins
The paid track. It pays out more coins than it costs over 60 levels, so a finished pass buys the next one.

Are there free Apex Coins codes?
No — only the battle pass
EA's own help page: you can earn some Apex Coins from a season's battle pass, and there are no other ways to get free Apex Coins. EA never asks for your login to give you a reward — anything it gives out is added to your account automatically. A site promising free coin codes is phishing, and EA says accounts that use those sites can end up banned. EA · phishing guidance

Coins bought on the Apex Legends web store work on PC, PlayStation and Xbox but not Nintendo Switch, and the four larger bundles carry the extra web bonus shown. On Steam there are no coin bundles on the store page — you buy them inside the game. Sources: PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, checked 15 October 2026.

Battle pass prices
Every season has two battle passes, one per split, each with a free and a paid track of 60 levels. Battle pass level resets with each split.

Ultimate+

Ultimate plus 10 level skips and every legend playable for the split. Real money only.

How to redeem an Apex Legends code
PC (EA app or Steam)
In the EA app, open My Library and choose Redeem Code. Or go to ea.com/redeem and choose the button for your platform. If coins from a code don't show up on Steam, EA's advice is to launch Apex through the EA app once.
PlayStation
PS5: PlayStation Store, press triangle, then More and Redeem Code, and enter the 12-digit code. PS4: PlayStation Store, Redeem Codes at the bottom of the sidebar. The code must be for the same region as your account. PlayStation
Xbox
Open the Store, press the View button, choose Redeem and enter the 25-character code — or redeem it online at xbox.com/redeem.
Promo codes
Discount codes are entered at checkout and usually can't be used on virtual currency. A code that's already been used goes back to the seller; an expired one can't be recovered. EA

Gift cards and where it's safe to buy
There's no Apex-branded gift card from EA. Platform gift cards work through that platform's wallet: PlayStation Store, Xbox and Steam Wallet cards. On PC an EA Gift Card loads the EA Wallet, which pays for real-money items in EA's PC games. Apex Coins codes are also sold by retailers EA lists as trusted — Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop, Target, Walmart, Steam, Epic and Humble among them. EA disables codes from unauthorised sellers and won't help with them. EA's retailer list
Coins on other platforms, gifting and expiry
- Wallets
- PC, PlayStation and Xbox share one coin wallet; Nintendo Switch 2 has its own. Some items and coins are exclusive to one platform. EA
- Gifting
- You can't gift Apex Coins. You can gift store items paid for with coins once two-factor authentication is on, you're level 50 or higher, and you've been in-game friends for two weeks, up to five gifts a day. EA's help pages say the battle pass can be gifted; its game FAQ says it can't. EA gifting
- Expiry
- EA's User Agreement gives players in Japan 180 days to use virtual currency. The game's Steam description states the same 180-day expiry without naming a region, so check your wallet if you hold coins for a long time. Coins are non-refundable.
Questions
- Are there free Apex Coins codes?
- No. EA says the battle pass is the only way to get Apex Coins without paying — there are no other free sources. Sites offering free coin codes or asking for your EA login are scams, and EA says accounts that use them can be banned.
- How do I redeem an Apex Legends code?
- On PC, open the EA app and choose My Library, then Redeem Code — or go to ea.com/redeem. On PlayStation 5, open the PlayStation Store, press triangle, then More and Redeem Code. On Xbox, open the Store, press the View button and choose Redeem, or use xbox.com/redeem.
- How much is the Apex Legends battle pass?
- The Premium battle pass costs 950 Apex Coins. The Ultimate pass is $9.99 and Ultimate+ is $19.99, bought with real money. There are two passes a season, one per split, each with 60 levels.
- Do Apex Coins carry across platforms?
- Between PC, PlayStation and Xbox, yes — they share one wallet. Nintendo Switch 2 has its own wallet, and coins bought there only work there.
- Is there an Apex Legends gift card?
- Not an Apex-branded one from EA. Use a PlayStation Store, Xbox or Steam Wallet gift card on that platform, an EA Gift Card on PC through the EA app, or an Apex Coins code from a retailer EA lists as trusted.
