Official, but not run by EA
The server is run by community moderators with support from the developers. It isn't an EA support channel: for account, ban or payment problems, go to EA Help or the EA Forums.
Server-list sites carry plenty of other servers called “Apex Legends”; some say themselves that they aren't affiliated with Respawn. If a server or bot asks you to sign in with your EA account, leave it.
