EA hasn't said when Season 31 ends. Recent seasons ran 83 to 97 days, so if this one does too, it ends between 25 January 2027 and 8 February 2027. That's an estimate, not EA's date.

What changed in Season 31

Summarised from EA's patch notes. Each legend, weapon and map below has its changes on its own page.

  • Season 31 began on 3 November 2026 with a Crypto rework, buffs to Lifeline and Revenant, and longer cooldowns for Loba.
  • The Wingman can now be dual-wielded: pick up a second one to go Akimbo. It switched to heavy ammo and its base damage dropped to 45.
  • Strongholds are a new airdrop: a locked bunker that lands near the mid game and opens for the team that holds the zone around it, with Care Package-grade loot and a level up for each surviving member.
  • The Hemlok Burst AR is back in place of the Hemlok Breach AR, and the L-STAR returns to floor loot while the Akimbo Mozambique moves into the Care Package.
  • Diamond and above in Ranked now has Legend bans: each player requests one ban, and two Legends are drawn per match weighted by the requests.
  • Ranked entry cost now adjusts for lopsided lobbies: 30% cheaper when your squad is two or more tiers below the lobby, 50% dearer when it is two or more tiers above.
  • Wildcard now hands out Wild Cards at the start of rounds 1, 2 and 3 through an on-screen pick, and Replicators were removed from the mode.
  • Battle royale rotation for pubs and Ranked: Storm Point, E-District Night and Broken Moon.

How Apex seasons work

Seasons run about three months each. Every one brings a balance pass, a new Battle Pass and usually a new legend, sometimes a new weapon, and either a new map or a substantial update to an existing one. Ranked resets alongside the season, which is why the Apex Predator cut collapses back to the Master floor for the first few days.
