What changed in Season 30

Summarised from EA's patch notes. Each legend, weapon and map below has its changes on its own page.

• Season 30 launched on 4 August 2026 with a reworked Bloodhound, buffs to Loba and Rampart, and nerfs to Valkyrie and Axle.
• Gold attachments and gold backpacks were removed from the loot pool, and gold weapons no longer come with gold attachments. The 4-10x Digital Sniper Threat optic is unaffected.
• Mythic and gold bins were removed, bin resets no longer upgrade loot, and the Hot Zone was removed.
• Support and Assault perk bins no longer contain extended supply or weapon supply loot.
• Purple attachments spawn less often across every loot source, while the overall number of attachments stays the same.
• Arsenals stay locked until EVO Harvesters activate, there are fewer per POI, and their upgrade panels now raise one attachment by one tier, up to purple.
• Wildlife drops only healing items and ammo, MRVNs are single-use and spawn 12 per match (was 24), and loot rollers and ticks carry fewer attachments.
• Energy ammo boxes were removed. Energy weapons carry their own regenerating stockpile, refilling one magazine's worth over 18 seconds (12 seconds in Wildcard).
• Five Corrupted attachments were added: Overflowing Magazine, Headseeker Barrel, Tactical Laser, Agile Standard Stock and Rapid Sniper Stock. Each pairs a bonus with a drawback, and a weapon can hold only one.
• World's Edge was reworked: East Village replaces Climatizer, War Camp replaces Survey Camp, Tree Settlement replaces The Tree, Sorting Factory returns in place of Lava Siphon, and Big Maude moved into Landslide.
• The G7 Scout returned to floor loot and the 30-30 Repeater moved into the Care Package. The gold weapon rotation was removed.
• Players can volunteer to be Jumpmaster during character select.
• Split 2 of Marked started on 15 September 2026, with buffs to Conduit, Fuse, Catalyst and Bloodhound and nerfs to Axle and Seer.
• Long-range buffs: the Triple Take fires faster in ADS, the Bocek carries more arrows, and the Charge Rifle hits harder at range.
• Bin resets were moved closer to their pre-Season 30 version: more items per bin, with healing, ammo, survival items and amps more common. Healing items spawn more often before resets.
• Weapon Assist (your first bin with no weapon) can now roll any base weapon, not only a few pistols, shotguns and the Alternator.
• Battle royale and ranked rotate World's Edge, Olympus and Broken Moon in split 2; Wildcard rotates Kings Canyon, Olympus and E-District.
• The Executioner locked hop-up now unlocks at 275 points (was 375).

How Apex seasons work

Seasons run about three months each. Every one brings a balance pass, a new Battle Pass and usually a new legend, sometimes a new weapon, and either a new map or a substantial update to an existing one. Ranked resets alongside the season, which is why the Apex Predator cut collapses back to the Master floor for the first few days.
