What changed in Season 28

Season 28 reworked Fuse, Catalyst and Bloodhound.
The G7 Scout moved into the Care Package with the Double Tap Trigger, and the P2020 returned to the floor.
Locked hop-ups: new Dual Shell for the Mastiff and 30-30, Hammerpoints for the P2020 and Disruptors for the Peacekeeper. The Gun Shield Generator left the Triple Take, Hemlok and R-301, the Graffiti Mod moved from the Volt and Mastiff to the L-STAR and Longbow, and the EVA-8 gained the Double Tap Trigger.
Midseason update: Gibraltar and Wraith were reworked, folding cooldown upgrades into their base kits, and Wattson can now reinforce Hardlight meshes.
The Hemlok became the Hemlok Breach AR, an automatic rifle with a Breach Charge, and the RE-45 Burst became the permanent RE-45.
Elysium on Olympus moved to the northeast corner of the map near Rift.

How Apex seasons work

Seasons run about three months each. Every one brings a balance pass, a new Battle Pass and usually a new legend, sometimes a new weapon, and either a new map or a substantial update to an existing one. Ranked resets alongside the season, which is why the Apex Predator cut collapses back to the Master floor for the first few days.
